I was introduced to massage at a very young age. My family would call on me to relieve the tension, pain, and stress in the muscles in their bodies. This is how I developed my passion for the healing touch industry. It wasn't until later in life that I choose to follow my dream of becoming a massage therapist.
I moved to Toledo, OH, where I attended Owens State Community College. I graduated with my associates degree in the Massage Therapy Program, the summer of 2010. In order to get the best certification and licensing possible, I moved to Virginia. Here I passed the NCBTMB exam in 2011, which is the certificate that allow me to practice massage in about 38 states. Then in accordance with Virginia laws, I also recieved the approval from the Nursing Board of Virginia in 2012.
Now I practice therapeutic massage in Hampton, Va, at the Center 4 Massage Therapy. I'm a bussiness owner/contractor. Also, I am studing complimentary and alternative health. I look forward to obtain my bachelor's degree soon, while making ever afford to stay current in the required massage continued education courses to keep my skills sharp.
